THE FARMERS’ UNION
WOMEN’S DIVISION. The next meeting of the Hamilton branch will be held on Tuesday, April 1. As this will be the annual .meeting a reeprd attendance is expected to hear the annual report and balancesheet and to elect our officers for the ensuing year. New members will be enlisted and subscriptions, which are now due, will be collected. Several important matters also await discussion. On Tuesday, March 4, the third meeting of the SouLli Auckland Provincial Area was held, Mrs Stubbs presiding. With reference to the notice of motion brought, forward at the previous meeting, it was decided that, bran dies use their own discretion as lo whom they send as delegates to the executive meetings, it was further decided that a tent and camp stretcher he supplied for house-keepers where there is insufficient sleeping accommodation.
Most of our branches are now working to aid the Obstetrical Society’s big appeal for funds, as we recognise that the object in safeguarding the mothers coincides with our own.
