BOWLING
THE TARANAKI TOURISTS. MATCHES AGAINST AUCKLAND. The Taranaki bowlers played matches at the Carlton, Mount Albert, Dominion Road, Epsom, Papatoctoe and Henderson greens yesterday. The scores were :—Taranaki, 76; Dominion Road, 44; Taranaki, 60; Carlton, 80; Taranaki, 57: Mt. Albert, 59; Taranaki, 74; Henderson, 45; Taranaki, 67; Papatoctoe, 49; Taranaki, 72; Epsom, 91. CANADIANS AT AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The party of Canadian bowlers who recently toured New Zealand and Australia, arrived in Auckland by the Aorangi yesterday morning. In the afternoon the visitors were the guests of the president, Mr E. A. Craig, of the Auckland Bowling Club. A 25-heads game was played, resulting :—Auckland, 140; Canada, 84. The Canadian party will leave Auckland by the Aorangi tins afternoon.
