GYMNASTIC NOTES
HAMILTON Y.M.C.A. Now that the winter season is approaching gymnasium activities of the Hamilton Y.M.C.A. will commence on March 17, when it is expected that the membership will show an increase over that of last year. An efficient leaders’ corps has been tunning up during the summer and everything points to a successful season this year. In connection with the senior men’s class this seasdn we are running a special apparatus squad for beginners. Throughout the summer months the Swimming Club has been meeting at the baths on Monday evenings and several members under the tuition of Mr C. D. Richardson have improved their styles, whilst others learned to swim. The Cricket Club is leading in the Senior B competition, due largely to the team spirit and keenness shown by the members. The various committees are being formed and members are asked to nominate themselves for service on at least one of them. The Optimist Club will be commencing next week, when members will be rolling along with their bright and happy faces, ready for another season of service. Best wishes for a-speedy recovery are extended to Optimist Finch, who met with an accident a short time ago.
