BEAUTIFYING CARNIVAL.
HAMILTON LADIES MOVING.
AN ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING,
Yesterday afternoon a meeting of ladies was held in connection with the Beautifying Society’s carnival to be held on Ferry Bank'on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 20„ 21, and 22 Never before in the history of Hamilton have helpers come forward so cheerfully as is being done in connection with this carnival. Over 150 names were handed in as helpers. The list contains the names of a great number of •patriotic ladies who not only give their time freely, but also assist generously with financial support. The citizens of Hamilton and district are proud of their work pi the Beautifying Society. The establishment of the annual carnival is with the object of bringing town and oountry into closer touch, and to co-operate more whole-heart-edly and enjoy a few days’ festivities. The carnival will present a unique opportunity to the businessman, the farmer, and to all employees to join most heartily in the true carnival spirit. With that end in view the committee extends a welcome to country residents and school committees to join in the festival for at least one. of the days of the carnival.
