Dear Peter Pan, —During the holidays we went to Auckland. Wo started away about half-past eight in the morning, and half-an-hour later wo were travelling past green flelds, cattle and farm houses, over bridges and through small townships. When we arrived our cousins were there to meet us. Their home is on the seaside, and we all hacl a very happy time swimming, also playing on the sands. There was a small boat on the shore which belonged to a friend; he gave us permission to play in it, so we had a gay time in Hie shallow water, pushing it around, giving each other a row. After many lovely days of happiness, mother packed our belongings and we all went ofT again on to Avondale, not far out of Auckland. There we stayed with our other cousins, playing happily with toys, dolls and swings. Their home is a good distance from the seaside; hut daddy took me and my eldest cousin for a long walk, as far as the seashore and bade. We were very tired, hut enjoyed our pleasant walk. On tho Sunday morning we all went to the little church there; it soemed very small after the Hamilton church, but it was very nice. We all returned home ones line afternoon feeling very, pleased with our holiday and looking forward to our school reopening.—Margery Barr (11), Hamilton. it was so nice to hear from you again, Margery, and such a newsy letter too. Your holidays sound topping. Write to us again soon, won’t you?—Peter Pan.
