THE CIRCUS. Dear Peter Pan, —This week I am going to ;ell you about Wlrth’s Circus. I went to see it in To Aroha last Monday night. 'There was a big crowd, and a number of my little school mates were there. The elephant led the parade. There were Polar bears, monkeys, huge lions, elephants, zebras, hyaenas and little ponies. I liked the little ponies the best or all the animals. The Polar bears were doing all sorts of funny tricks. They were pushing a bear in a pram and givin ganotlier one a drink from a botte. One of the elephants picked up a lady In its trunk ana took it over to the men. There were clowns; they were very funny and made the people laugh. I arrived home at half-past eleven, very tired next morning. Mother said I could stay home from school. After a rest in bed 1 decided to go to school.— Clifford Parker (7), Te Aroha.
