CHARGES OF THEFT.

TWO PRISONERS SENTENCED. ONE WITH 40 CONVICTIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Friday. Prisoners were sentenced in the Supreme Court by Mr Justice Kennedy. Robert Abercrombie Brown, theft from the Petrous Tile Company, of which he was accountant, received three years’ hard labour.

Henry Ernest Fook, for breaking, entering and theft, was sentenced to three years’ hard labour. There were 4 0 previous convictions for various offences. The Judge said prisoner had been progressively anti-social in his attitude. His family lost nothing through his loss of liberty and were better without him.
