POULTRYMEN CONFER.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Friday. At the conference of poultrymen the following resolution was carried: That the Government be asked to find finance for a trial shipment of dead poultry for London at Christmas. It was recommended that the Government be asked to send Mr Brown, chief poultry instructor, to the 'World Congress at London. The Government had advised that Mr Brown would not he sent, and tile association decided that a committee be appointed in each centre to raise funds to send him. The association also voted £25 for that purpose, and the Government is to he asked to subsidise the total amount collected. Officers were elected as folows: President, Air G. S. Bates (Wellington), vice-president, Mr 11. Williams (Christchurch) ; executive, Messrs Edgley (Auckland), Hutton and Williams (Otaga); deputies, Messrs Batten (Wellington), Evans (Auckland), Craig (Christchurch), and Christie (Dunedin).
