BOXING.
TE AROHA’S NEXT. GRIFFITHS AND TAYLOR TO MEET, TOURNAMENT ON THURSDAY. That progressive institution, the Te Aroha Association, looks well after the needs of its -patrons and boxers in general, it has fixed a tournament for Thursday next, October 17, when it is putting on a programme that will warrant a bumper house. The leading attraction will be a professional contest for a purse of £IOO, in which Tommy Griffiths (Dunedin), and Frank Taylor (Auckland) will be the principals. These lads can he relied upon to make it willing from gong to gong. There are to be five amateur bouts supporting the main event., and in these also there will be plenty ot interest. -
