THE CAMBRIDGE CLUB. 34th ANNUAL MEETING. A SUCCESSFUL SEASON. When the Cambridge Polo Club held its 34th annual meeting, Mr W. Fisher (chairman) presided over a good attendance of members. The following are extracts from the report: The A team was successful in winning the two -challenge cups and the provincial tournament cup. The finances of the 'dub are buoyant and we have an excellent prospect for a permanent ground being laid down, on the Trotting Club’s course. The thanks of Hie club are due to Hie business people of Cambridge, who generously supported the sports meeting and to Messrs Sayers and Ward, who made an acceptable gift of a set of colours to the A team. The balance-sheet showed the position of Hie club’s finances as follows: Receipts.—Balance at beginning of year, £l2 8s lid; subscriptions, £2O 2s; profit from Cameron Cup match, £5 Os 6d; annual sports, £29 Bs. Total £66 19s sd. Expenditure totalled £3B 13s Id, leaving a credit of £2B 6s 4d. In addition to the credit balance the club has assets totalling £ls 5s 4d, making a total of assets of £43 11s 4d. In moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, Mr Alan Fisher said It ■ was particularly gratifying to see the club's finances in such, a healthy state. Election of Officers. The election of officers resulted: —• President, Mr .las. Taylor (re-elect-ed) ; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. S. Fisher, Wynn Brown, H. Growther, N. Banks, J. W. Garland;, and R. V. Nolan; club captain, Mr W. Fisher; vicecaptains, Messrs. A. Fisher and J. Butler. Hon. surgeons. Drs. 11. C. Tod and J. Ritchie; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr R. G. Blennerhassett. Very hearty appreciation was expressed of the services rendered by the secretary. A very hearty vote of thanks was extended" to all business people and others who had made donations to the club and its annual sports during the past season. Executive Committee. The executive Committee was appointed as follows: Messrs Innes Taylor, M. Garland, Iv. Butler and captain, vice-captain and secretary; selectors, Messrs R. D. Fisher, C. Meredith, N. Banks and Wynn Brown; delegates to A.P.P.A., Captain, vice-captain and secretary; coaches, Messrs C. Meredith, N. Banks and G. Potts. When the matter of the subscription came before the meeting it was mentioned by the chairman that the Mntangi Club had raised its subscription from £L Is to £2 2s to help provide its quota towards the proposed central ground, but as yet the club Pad notiiing definite about, the quota In po provided l>v each of the clubs.
