WEDDING.

BNELQAR—WEBB. The marriage was solemnised at the Church of the Holy Rosary on October 9, between Veronica, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Webb of Hamilton, and John Snelgar, youngest son of Mrs. Merrington of Drury. Rev. Father Bleakley officiated at Nuptial Mass, and the music was played by Miss Marie Dold. The bride was away by her cousin, Mr. Joseph Battersby of Hamilton, and was attended by five bridesmaids, Misses Edith Webb, Marie Webb, Cora Taylor, Josephine We'bb, and Edith Wallace. Mr. Ted Quill was best man.

The bride’s gown was of ivory crepe de chine, with skirt and sleeves of Honiton lace. She wore a veil of Brussels net, trimmed with pearls and orange blossom, and carried n shower bouquet of cream roses and maidenhair fern. Miss Edith Webb’s frock was of lavender crepe de chino, trimmed with silver lace, Miss Marie Webb’s,primrose crepe* de chine, Miss Cora Taylor, hyacinth blue crepe de chine, Miss Josephine Webb, briar rose crepe dc chine, Miss Edith Wallace, leaf green crepe de chine. All wore hats to match and carried posies to tone with their frocks.

The wedding breakfast was held at the Haeremai Tea Rooms where Mrs.

Webb received her guests wearing an ensemble of navy 'blue bengaline silk, and a navy bangkok hat. Among the guests were Mrs. Battersby, aunt of the bride in navy corded silk trimmed with gray, and black hat. -Mrs Tugby (Auckland), green and white jumper suit; Mrs. D. Holland' (Auckland), navy crepe de chine, fawn trimming, black hat; Mrs. Quill, black bengaline, hat to match; Mrs. Wallace, navy crape de chine, bat to tone; Mrs. Arns, terracotta silk, hat to match; Mrs. Taylor, navy frock oriental trimmings; Miss Lily Banks, lace beige frock, bat to tone; Miss Lindsay (Hunlly), electric blue frock, hat to match. The bride’s travelling ’suit was in periwinkle blue, with hat to tone. The honeymoon is being spent touring the North Island. In the evening a party was held in the T.oorak Hall, where a large number of relatives and other friends enjoyed a bright programme of toasts, musical items, games and dancing.
