When cleaning windows a little vinegar added to the water will impart a brilliant polish to the glass. * * * * A square of table baize makes a good waterproof sheet and is much cheaper than rubberised sheeting. * * * * Put aside any flour which is left on the pastry-board afte'r 'making bread, pastry or scones and use it for thickening gravies.
