TELEPHONE ACCOUNTS
METHOD OF DESPATCH.
NEW SYSTEM TO OPERATE. Subscribers to the Hamilton Telephone Exchange will, in future, have their toll accounts typed instead of written. The method of despatching accounts has also been altered. Instead of sending all accounts out every month, departmental officers have divided the total number of subscribers into four sections, each section to be sent accounts in turn at the end of four weekly periods. If subscribers, at the end of this month, receive a weekly account a week after the monthly account, they will realise that this has been done in order to adjust matters to the new routine.
Hamilton is practically the first town after the four centres to adopt the new system, which will facilitate business from the points of view of both the department and the subscribers. All the larger towns In the Dominion will shortly follow the revised scheme.
