CURRENT SEABON ARRANGEMENTS
At recent meetings of the executive of the South Auckland Bowling Centre many matters in connection with the season just opening have come under consideration. Amongst the business dealt with may be mentioned approval of applications for tournaments as follow: Hamilton, progressive rinks, October 26 and 28 (Labour Day) ; Day tournaments, Ngaruawahia and Te Awamutu October 28 (Labour Dav); South Auckland, at Hamilton, December 26, 27, 28; To Aroha. January 1,2 and 3; Thames, January 29, 30, 31; Matamata February 6, 7 and S; Rotorua (first) February 10, 11, 12, 13; Rotorua (second) February 24, 25 and 26. _ The llardley Shield match against Auckland has been fixed for Wcdnesdav, December 4, when if is expected that 16 rinks from the South Auckland centre will ‘be engaged. An endeavour is to be made to organise a South Auckland party to visit the Bay oT Plenty during January. Advice was received that a party of Canadian bowlers will reach Auckland on December 30. The itinerary suggested for the visitors, who are expected to number about 40, includes Hamilton, January 2, Rotorua January- 3 and thence to Opotiki on January 6. . , j, The programme was reoerved for the next Dominion tournament, which this season takes place at Dunedin. The singles will begin on January 13, the pairs on January 15 anti the rinks play on January 17. ,
