CONVERSION OF CAR.
TWO YOUTHS CHARGED.
DETECTIVE WITH A RIFLE. (By Telesrranli. —Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. Friday. Two young men were driven to the police station by the traffic inspector last evening in a flve-seater car which it is alleged was stolen. A detective who sat in the rear seat carried a repealing rifle, which it is stated was discovered in the car. As a sequel, in the Court to-day, Francis Xavier Toohill (19) and Arthur George Coughlan (19) were remanded till to-morrow on a charge of unlawful conversion of a car valued at £350.
