HAPPY EVENINGS SPENT.
FOR GIRL GUIDES’ CENTRAL FUND
A bridge party was given on Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs F. D. Pinfold, Victoria Street, in aid of the Girl Guides’ central funds. Mrs Pinfold received her guests wearing a charming frock of apricot ..georgette and ring velvet. The prizes were won by Miss Ceciile 'Chitty and Mr Seidon.

CLUBS SPEND PLEASANT EVENINGMrs J. F. Strang was hostess on Monday evening at a very bright bridge party, when the Frankton Hill Club played its return match with the River Road Club. Mrs Strang was wearing an attractive frock of black lace. Her drawing-room was delightfully attractive with bright spring blossoms. The match ended in a win for the Frankton Hill Club, Mrs F. Jolly obtaining the highest score for her side, and Mrs J. Chitty for the River Road Club.
The players were: — For River Road: Mrs J. Strang, Mrs J. D. Smith, Mrs Valder, senr., Mrs G,. Rogers, Mrs Hubert Hammond, Mrs J. Williams, Mrs J. Chitty and Mrs H. Ferguson. For Frankton Hill Club: Mrs W. D. Ross, Mrs F. Jolly, Mrs E. P. Cowles, Mrs P. Stewart, Airs 11. Hopkins, Mrs L. Shepherd, Miss C. Jolly, and Miss De Renzy.
