CRICKET.
Y.M.C.A. CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Cricket Club Mr Parrant presided over a large attendance. Tlie officers elected were as follows: —President, Mr E. E. Stace; vice- presidents, Messrs S. C. Price, A. D. Price, T. F. Bowden, ,1. A. Clark, ,1. M. De Montalk, J. Parlane, W. Shattock, C. F. Sherley, C. Morris; club captain, W. Dodson; club delegates, Messrs Price, Reekie and Parrant; general committee, Messrs Wil-, lianas, Davies, Turner, Bamford and Shattock; secretary, A. Molloy; treasurer, A. 11. Cheescman; sole selector, F. Price. Owing to the influx of new members it was decided to enter another team in the competitions (one senior B and two juniors). The opening day was fixed for Saturday, October 12, at 2 p.m. A vote of thanks to Mr A. D. Price for his help to the club and the usual vote to the chair concluded a very enthusiastic meeting. RUKUHiA CLUB. Much interest is being taken in forming a cricket club. A well-attended practice was held on Saturday in Mr Alex. Boyd's property.
