FIGUREB FOR AUGUST. A WET MONTH. During the month o-74 inches of rain has been recorded, the heaviest fall being on the 17th„ when I.Bins. was registered by the meteorologist. For the eight months of this year 32.7 tins, of rain has been recorded. In August of last year 2.52in5. of rain fell, the heaviest being on the 15th., when ,53ins. fell. In the eight months of 1928, 33.94in5. was registered.
