Flour: £l2 15s. Bran: £7. Pollard: £7 10s.' Oats: 4s 3d. MELBOURNE, Aug. 30. Wheat: 5s 4id. Flour: £l2 5s to £l2 10s. Bran: £7 10s. Pollard: £7 15s. Oats: 4s to 4s Id. Barley: English, 4s Id to 5s 3d. AUCKLAND PRODUCE. Wheat, —Fowl wheat is steady at 7s 7d to 7s 9d, with no indication of | offers outside the usual channel. Oats.—No sign of weakness in this grain. Merchants are asking 4s 8d to 4s 9d ex store in small lines. I Maize.—Supplies are very plentiful. The price is weak at 6s 6d ex store. Chaff.—Tasmainan offers of chaff I were the first to follow the breaking of the drought, and importers have been able to pick up supplies, which they are now booking to arrive at £9 5s on the wharf. Southern is selling at £lO to £fo 10s.

Bran and Pollard.—These have reacted to the changed conditions in New South Wales, and the recent advance has been lost. Bran is particularly scarce, the demand having kept up longer than ’expected, and regular small quantities of pollard have been coming across for some time.

Potatoes.—Stocks are . quite depleted, but shipments are due. The nominal price is £l3, but it is expected to fall to £l2 when all supplies are available. Supplies of seed potatoes are very short.

Onions.—Merchants are inclined to push off their stocks of Japanese. The best are selling at 17s 6d when carefully repicked, and others according to condition.

Poultry.—Cockerels, heavy, prime, 6s 6d to 8s 6d each; heavy, 4s upward; light, prime, 5s to 6s; light, 3s upward; fat roosters, heavy, prime, 2s 9rl to 3s 9d; light, 2s 3d to 3s; fat hens, heavy, 3s 6d to 4s 6d; light, 2s 9d to 3s 9d; pullets, heavy, best, 3s 9d to ss; smaller, 2s 6d upward; light, best, 3s 9d to as; smaller, 2s 9d upward; drakes, young, prime, 3s 3d to 3s 9d; smaller, 2s 6d upward; old, 2s 6d to 3s; ducks, young, 3s 3d to 3s 9d; old, 2s 6d to 3s 3d; turkev hens, 6s to 9s; gobblers, 8s to 17s'; dayold chicks, Black Orpington, 6d to lo'd.

Dairy Produce.—Hen eggs, first quality, special grade, Is 4d a dozen; A grade, Is 3d; B grade, Is 2d; duck oggs, first quality, special grade, Is 3d; A grade, Is 2d; B grade, Is Id; farmers’ butter, Is Id to Is 4d per lb.

FROZEN MEAT. Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house, dated August 29: Mutton.—The market is dull; any •change is in favour of buyers. Lamb.—The market is dull; any change is in favour of buyers. Beef.—The market is steady. Pork.—The market is steady. New Zealand pork, 8d to BJd.

BUTTER AND CHEESE. Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house, dated August 29:—Butter: New Zealand, finest salted, 173 sto 1775; Danish, 180 s to 182 s; Australian, ilnest unsalted, 16Ss to 170 s; finest salted, 168 sto 1725; good average quality, 160 sto 1645. The market is firm. Cheese: New Zealand, white, 9is to 925; coloured, 935; Canadian, white, 90s to 91s; coloured, 91s to 925; c.i.f9ls to 925. The market is firm.
