DEATH FROM POISON.
INQUEST AGAIN ADJOURNED. MISSING REPORT WANTED. A coronlal inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of Alexander Dalgcty, aged 50, who was found dead in a room in Greenwood Street last Saturday morning, was held this morning before Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M. Florence Campbell, married woman, residing in a Hat at Greenwood Street, deposed that she saw deceased at No. 4 Greenwood Street on Friday evening. He asked her to direct him to his room, which he was renting from Mrs McDowell. She showed him to the room, and on opening the door to allow’ air in next morning she found him lying on the bed dead. Corroborative evidence was given by Sergeant Stark, who said a bottle of poison was found in the room occupied by deceased. The latter was also known as Thomas King in the police records. Dr. A. G. Waddell testified that lie made a post mortem examination of the body on Sunday afternoon, and expressed the view that he had died from poisoning. The coroner adjourned the inquest pending the receipt of the report of identification from Wellington.
