A tragedv attended a fishing expedition in Botany Bay, three fishermen being hurled Into the water when their boat struck a sandbank. George Baker, aged 53, who w r as unable to swim, was drowned. His two companions reached the shore exhausted after a two miles’ swim through rough water. One had supported Baker for an hour, but the latter struggled free and disappeared.-
