A four storeyed tenement in Algiers Inhabited by twenty-five Italian labourers and their families, fell In a heap, burying some 120 persons. Firemen, troops, and volunteers quickly began the work of rescue, and brought out ton dead and 45 seriously Injured. There Is little hope that many of the others will bo alive when the debris Is cloared.
