FIRE AT RANGIRIRI.
HOTEL ENDANGERED. SACK SOAKED WITH KEROSENE. RANGIRIRI, Friday. A sack saturated with kefbsene was found burning fiercely on the verandah at the front door of the public bar of the Rangiriri Hotel about 7.30 on Thursday evening, it was discovered by a porter. The flooring of the verandah was already alight, but it was easily extinguished. The sack was apparently soaked with kerosene at one end of the verandah and carried to the bar door. The proprietor, Mr. Clarke, reported tiie incident to the police.
