' Charged with being found drunk in Hood Street last evening, Alfred Lindsay, was lined 20s in default 4 8 hours’ imprisonment, in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court this morning, before Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M.
In reference to the erosion below the spillway at the Arapuni hydro-electric works, the supervising engineer, Mr T. Rabone, stated last evening that the measures taken had proved adequate lo meet tiie immediate trouble. Plans were being made for the more permanent protective works. It might he necessary to divert the flow through the diversion tunnel at the dam for a time while the work below the spillway was being completed, hut the course of action had not been fully
