Prior to contesting tho Australian Jockey Club’s Derby on October 5 Honour probably will bo seen In action In the Rosehill Guineas and Tattersall’s Chelmsford Stakes at Randwlok. It was In the Chelmsford Stakes of 1918 that Gloaming, making his first appearance on a race track, gave .one of tho most striking displays of galloping ever seen at Randwlck. Unknown to the genera! public he literally walked away with the nlne-furlong weight-for-age event, and besides defeating such good performers as Rebus, Kennaquhalr, Estland, and Poltrel with ease, he also oreated an Australian and New Zealand record for the distance. However, his time, 1.82, was subsequently lowered by Heroic, who put up 1.504 at Randwlck. The present record for the distance l 3 held by SuJI San, 1.495, at Brisbane.
