PARTY AND DANCE.
BREAK-UP CELEBRATIONS. A very jolly time was spent in the Maungatautari Hall, when a plain and fancy dress party and dance was given for the breaking-up of the children’s holidays. Unfortunately, the evening was wet, but it did not interfere with the happy lime spent by the kiddies. There were quite a large crowd of parents and young people, and all helped to make the evening the success it was. The little girls in their fancy dresses, as they romped and played made a very pieasir.g sight io see. Games were played, and dancing wa3 indulged in. Dance music was supplied by Mrs Middleton, Mrs Feeney and Miss Strawbridge. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr Emery. After a dainty and sumptuous supper was provided by the ladies, everyone left for home. Among those in fancy dresses were:—M. Peake, Early Victorian; V. Hill, Rainbow; P. Nicklc, Pierrette; R.. Hay, J. Strawbridge, T. Hay, M. Hicks.
