FANCY DRESS DANCE.
FOREST LAKE SCHOOL. The Forest Lake School held their annual children’s fancy dress ball on Thursday, August 22. As in previous years the accommodation at the school was taxed to the utmost. Judging for the different prizes .was undertaken by .Mrs MacDiannid and Mrs Collier. Their task was by no means easy to pick the winners among so many fine costumes. Prizes were allotted as follows:—Girl under 7, Dorothy Ingle, (Pink Crinoline) ; boy, under 7, Geo. Sanders (mouse); boy, under 10, Don Stewart (Indian) ; girl, under 10, Barbara Bennett (orange and lemons) ; girl, under 14, Lucy Bryant (Bat) ; Boy, under 14, Jock Bennett (Robinson Crusoe).
