SCHOOL CARNIVALS.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Would you kindly grant me a little space re “Dad’s” letter? I heartily endorse his statements. How is it that two or three children from the one family are selected for the leading positions? Would it not be a more unselfish act to select children from those families whose mothers have not the time to attend meetings, or go about guessing lengths fo, ribbons, beans in jars, etc- In any case the carnival has a tendency to place one child before another, and this should not be in public schools. —I am, etc., MUM. Hamilton, August 9. *
