CANCELLATION OF RATES.
(To the Editor.) Sir,- Kindly advise • me through your ’ paper if any council or councillor can cancel any outstanding rates due on any property. Is it legal? I ° l °- WAGER. Ngaruawahia, August 5. (In certain circumstances it is legal for the Borough Council to remit outstanding rates,. Unless these circumstances are known it is not possible to give you a definite answer. Ed. W.T.)
