ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
SOUTH AUCKLAND COMMITTEE. MANAWATU OFFER DECLINED. At a meeting of the committee' of the South Auckland Football Association consideration was given to the offer by Manawatu to pay the rail fares of a South Auckland team to Palmerston North to play for the Brown Shield. After reading the opinions of the various clubs, the committee decided to advise Manawatu that their proposal could not be accepted this season. The committee suspended Percy Davis, of lluntly, until such time as he explains why he signed two forms for different clubs o n the same day. Transfer of G. W. Lee, from Claudelands Rovers to Hamilton Wanderers, and A. Smith from Claudeiands Rovers to North Shore, were approved. An explanation from Huntly why they were unable to fulfil a recent fixture with Glen Massey was accepted, as the latter club did not desire to press for the league points involved. Exception Taken. Pukemiro Junction desired information on recent decisions of the committee, and also indicated internal dissension among the members of the •club. Exception was taken to the tone of the. letter. The secretary was instructed to give the information asked for and to also ask for the reason why the’ club did not fulfil its fixture with Glen Massey last Saturday.
The Huntly district clubs are to ba asked if they wish to compete for tho Lee Martin Gup this season, the match to be played at Hamilton. Fixtures for Saturday. Fixtures for Saturday next were arranged as follows: Pukemiro v. Hamilton Wanderers; Claudelands Hovers v. Huntly Thistle; Glen Massey v. Huntly; Pukemirai , Junction, a bye. •
