This was to the effect that 1500 White Russians recently crossed the border and entered Soviet territory with the object of' harassing the Soviet forces. The invaders were ambushed, according to the report, by Red Guards in a village between Davlia and Machevskaya, and all were massacred on the night of July 28. Confirmation of the report is lacking.
