AFTERNOON PARTY.
ENJOYABLE HOURS SPENT. Miss. Erena Ward was hostess al a party yesterday afternoon in honour of her guest, Miss Barbara Humphreys, of New Plymouth. Violets and jonquils were arranged in bowls in the drawing room and a lire made it nicely cosy. A competition was won by Miss Alison Bell. Miss Ward received her guests in a frock of guipure lace and net, the guest of honour Wearing black and white crepe-dc-chine. Those present were:—Miss Elsie Simmons, Miss Dell Yule, Miss Wynn Manning, Miss Doris Clark, Miss lvath Wilson, Miss Koa Tompkins, Miss Nancy Taylor, Miss E. Seal, Miss Frances Peacocke, Miss Mary Gillies, Miss Gray Hammond, Miss Esme Norris, Miss Bessie Vickery, Miss Lilian Valder, Miss Noreen Sergei, Miss Alison Bell, Miss Freena Clayton Green, Miss Josephine Thomson (Auckland).
