QUESTION OF RECONSTRUCTION.
HIGHWAYS FUNDS PROPOSAL
PROTEST FROM HAMILTON. A resolution was passed by the Hamilton Agency of the Automobile Association last night objecting against the reported proposal to reconstruct the Murchison roads out of Highways Board funds. The meeting expressed the opinion that it had no objection to a generous amount being devoted out of the board’s funds, but did not consider the funds should stand the whole of the cost of reconstructing roads damaged by earthquake.
