DELHI, July 1
The Southern Cross will leave Rangoon at dawn to-day, going direct on a 1000-mlle hop to Allahabad, which hitherto has not been attempted.
' Squadron-Leader Smith stated that they encountered a good deal of rain between Singapore and Rangoon, and that one of the engines gave slight trouble, but the trip otherwise was uneventful. The plane landed perfectly on the Kyaikasan Racecourse, They expect to reach Allabahad this evening.
