LONDON FRUIT MARKET

APPLES IN GOOD DEMAND. A SATISFACTORY SEASON. FOR OVERSEAS SHIPPERS. (Australian Press Association.) (Received July 1, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 30. All the apple markets in London, the Provinces and Hamburg report the continuance of good demand, and prices realised are most satisfactory. The lust Australian fruit will arrive before the middle of July, but fairly large supplies of New Zealand apples will continue to arrive till early In August. Traders, however, generally anticipate the maintenance of the demand, though possibly the present high values will not he realised till the end of the season.

Fortunately competition in soft fruits is less keen than usual, both strawberries and cherries being In smaller supply than In most recent years, so the Australian and New Zealand season should give satisfactory results to shippers.
