ACCIDENTALLY SHOT.
WHILE OUT PIG-HUNTING. FARMER'S ARM SHATTERED. (By Telegraph—press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ Monday. Logan Atkinson, a farmer of Alakotuku, was the victim of a serious accident while out pig-shooting on the Pahiatua track yesterday with a party of four. A loaded gun was left hidden in the hush, and while retrieving it later Atkinson grasped the gun by the muzzle.
The weapon discharged, shattering his left forearm, which was amputated in the Palmerston Hospital.
