The Social Welfare Committee reported to the Wellington Hospital Board that the number of unemployment cases relieved during May was 169, an increase °f 38, and sickness cases 164, an increase of 31, on the preceding month. The number of rations given to outdoor cases was 5345, an increase of 1008 on May, 1028.
