LAND AGENT’S OFFENCE
LICENSE TO BE CANCELLED

Theodore Melville Jenncns, a land agent, was convicted by Mr Page, S.M-, for failure to pay a sum of money into a trust account as required by statute. Ho deducted £ls commission and expenses from £SO and used the rest to pay his own debts, lie was fined £2O and the magistrate made direction for the cancellation of Jennens' license. It was admitted that the practice was customary on the part of the defendant. The magistrate refused to take a lenient view of the offence.
