BOISTEROUS WEATHER.

EXPERIENCED IN MANAWATU. (By Tpl^frrnph.—Pc&ss A'pnclntton.l PALMERSTON, N., Saturday. Very stormy and boisterous weather contindes, but the district is free from flooding due to the absence of continuous rainfall. Passengers by train report heavy weather in the areas adjacent to the railway lines.

SNOW IN DUNEDIN. OUTDOOR SPORTS CANCELLED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Saturday. As the result of heavy falls of snow last night and this morning all outdoor sports have been postponed.

CONDITIONS AT MORRINSVILLE. COLD AND STORMY. (Special to Times.) MORRINSVILLE, Saturday. Owing to the stormy weather experienced during the past few days and frequent lighning the electric light and power and water-heaters have been much disorganised. Severn! times the whole town was plunged into darkness and many of the street lights were put out of action altogether. The Power Board’s troublemen have been kept particularly busy. During the storm a large plateglass window in the Thames Valley Power Board's offices in Morrinsviile was blown in and completely smashed.

The wet weather is very trying to all stock, and no doubt accounts for the falling-off in demand and the lower prices obtained recently for anything but fat stock.

Colds and influenza are very prevalent in the district, and the attendance at the schools has been very much below the average.
