TIMBERMEN’S STRIKE.
BUILDERS’ DEFINITE STAND. DEMONSTRATIONS BANNED. (Gy Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) Press Association.) MELBOURNE, May 15. The Master Builders’ Association has taken a definite stand as regards the employment of free labour on building works. It was decided to apply to the Arbitration Court for the suspension of the awards of the builders’ labourers and carpenters and joiners.
The civic authorities, acting under instructions from tiie police, have banned further strikers’ demonstrations in tiie streets of the city, also parades of unemployed.
