BUTTER AND CHEESE. MARKETS QUIET AND INACTIVE. (By Telegraph—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. Messrs Joseph Nathan & Co., have received ihe following cable from their London principals, dated May 15:— Butter and cheese markets arc quiet and inactive. The New Zealand Loan and'Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, have received the following cablegram from their London House under date 15th instant (last week’s quotations in parentheses) : Butter: New Zealand choicest, salted, 16Gs to 108 s per cwt. (167 s to 168 s). Market slow. Cheese: White, 87s per cwt. (85s to 86a) ; coloured, 89s per cwt (87s La Market Is steady.
