VALEDICTORY.
SCHOOL MASTER FAREWELLED. AT MAUN GATAUTARI. The Maungatautari Hall was the scene of a very pleasing little ceremony when the school children and a number of parents gathered to bid farewell to Mr Nobbs, who has been head teacher of this school for five and ahalf years and is leaving to lake up a position at Opunake. Games and competitions were much enjoyed by all Miss Marjorie Cooper' and Master Brian Middlefon presented Mr Nobbs with a very pretty little clock on behalf of the pupils of the school, and wished him success in his new position. Mr Nobbs feelingly responded. Little Margaret Ariell presented Mrs Nobbs with a pretty bouquet'. A dainty afternoon tea brought a happy function to a close.
