| Farming Activities. ; « Although the frosts arc late in qo;mJ ing this autumn the weather has Jjeen far from ideal. Very cold winds are prevailing and at times they reach! Hie force of a gale, with heavy rain showers in addition, both tending to hold up the topdressing of the pastures, which is be.ing done more heavily than usual this year. There is abundgnt grass everywhere, but even that Tails to keep up the milk flow; in fact many of the cows in the herds, which started the season early, are alrfeSdy dry. Young stock is looking and most farmers are refusing testing offers, wisely considering heibgrs and yearlings from tested cows with good records are too valuable to part with.
