Card Evening. Another “500" tourney, organised , by the Cricket Committee, was very successful and enjoyable. Mr and Mrs • J. Bones kindly lent their home. One j room was cleared and here the young ' people had a merry time with games ] and music, whilst the dining-room was ] set out for the card players. 1 Prizes were won by Mrs T. Searle and Mr Catchpole. A light supper was handed round. The next evening will be on Satur- ‘ day, at the home of Mr and Mrs Catch- £ pole. Church Service. t i Since the opening of the new church the services have been, on the whole, e fairly well attended, but there is still room for more. On Sunday the service was conducted by the Rev. Jas. Hay, of Cambridge, who spoke very eloquently to a congregation of about lOpeopie, on the subject “Mother's Day." ( n During the service Miss L. Thomp- s , ’Oil, of Cambridge, rendered a sacred solo. Mr A. Towsey presided at the Drgan. (
The service next Sunday will be conducted by the Rev. J. W.
