A terrible death overtook Holdsworth Herbert, aged 60, at tho Llthgow Steel Works, when he fell into a pit of boiling water and was literally boiled to death* Several other employees Had their arms scalded trying to get him out. Tho body was eventually recovered from tho cauldron.
