MYSTERIOUS TRAGEDY.

WOMAN FOUND DEAD. MAN EXTENSIVELY INJURED. (Australian Press Association.) MELBOURNE, May 14. A shocking discovery was made today in. Coburg, a suburb of Melbourne. In a lane were found the dead body of Mrs Ida Andrews, aged 38, whose head had been riddled with bullets, and ' the semi-conscious form of Albert Bramich, aged 1 56, a factory employee, who was suffering from extensive injuries. Mystery surrounds the tragedy. Neighbours say they heard a quarrel and then the sounds of shots from a firearm. However, they gave no information to the police. A revolver was found beneath the woman's body. The man’s skull had been fractured and one of his eyes had been gouged out. The two deceased had been on friendly terms for some time.
