MEETING OF WOMEN’S DIVISION. The first meeting of the newlyformed branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the Tirau Hall. The president, Mrs John Watson, presided over a large attendance. The meeting opened with a hymn, and the Women’s Creed was read by Mrs John Watson. The business done was in‘ connection with the Mothers’ Welfare WeekThree new vice-presidents were elected—Mesdames Goodwin, Dennis and Harwood. The president entertained the ladles to a dainty afternoon tea, which was served by her two daughters, Mrs J. Grantham and Miss Ruby Watson. A beautiful cake was also presented by the president to celebrate the birthday of the newly-formed branch.
