Toronto messages state that the Australian boxer, George Cook, plans to enter the ring weighing 13st 111 b., or 13st. 121 b. He will probably ba seconded by Heeney, whose sparring partner, Joe Brown, of Montreal, will •take part in a preliminary bout with Doug. Lewis, of Toronto. Heeney will also probably be in Brown’s corner.
Ames, manager of George Cook, tha Australian heavy-weight, stated in a recent message- to Australian papers that he will give Cook two weeks' training, after which Cook will meet the Canadian heavy-weight, Larry Gains, on April 15, at Toronto in a 10round bout. Ames plans a series of other fights with the object of matching Cook again with Paulino Uzcudun, the Basque heavy-weight, as early a* possible. Cook claims that tie is oaw ,in fairly good for^v
