THE KAWHIA TRAGEDY.
LATE MR T. B. DILLICAR. HUMANE SOCIETY INFORMED. With regard to a suggestion contained in a letter in the correspondence columns of the Waikato Times yesterday, that something should be done to recognise the heroic sacrifice of the late Mr T. B. Dillicar, His Worship the Mayor (Mr J. R. Fow) states that the report of the tragedy which appeared in the Waikato Times was forwarded to the president of the Royal Humane Society, Wellington, before the funeral of the victim took place. He had not heard of any move for a public recognition of Mr Dillicar’s act of sacrifice.
