MORRINSVILLE CLUB. Owing to the unsettled appearance of the weather on Saturday there was not a large attendance at the bowling greens, but the fours competitions were continued. The results were: — Strand, Dendy, Chapman, Butler (s), 25, v. Nicholson, Welch, Donaldson, Coghill (s), 13. Fulton, H. llowie, Yardley (s), 15, v. Skinner, G. llowie', Martin (s), 13. Turner, Meharry, Branch (s), 29, v. Kirk, Sanders, Osborne (s), 13. Soanes, Hetherington, Donald (s), 25, v. Mallett, R. Buchan, Cornish (s), 18. Morrinsville v. Te Aroha.
Next Saturday there should be a large attendance, and some good play should be seen on the Morrinsville green, when the fololwing teams will play a game against Te Aroha: — Sones, Meharry, R. Buchan, Branch (s); Strand, Turner, Butler, Cornish (s) ; Fulton, Dandy, Needham, Buchan (s); Goodwin, Skinner, Sing, O’Brien (s) ; H. Howie, Boles, Hetherington, Martin (s) ; Kirk, Chapman, R. Howie, D. Coghill (s) ; Sanders, N. Coghill, Harris, Yardley (s) ; Donaldson, G. Howie, Crowe, Donald (s). Emergencies : Osborne, Andrews, Pike, Nicholson, Welch.
Hardley Shield
S. Cornish and R. Branch (s) have again been selected to represent South Auckland in the second Hardley Shield series against Auckland, to be played at Hamilton this month. Branch’s rink will be completed with T. Kriskovich (lead) and A. D. Wallace (No. 2).
